
Campsite Safety, Terms and Condions

•Prices are per person (adult/child), per night plus extras as listed on booking.
•Please book online prior to arrival.
•Upon arrival to the campsite, please inform the campsite team of your arrival and choose your own pitch.
•No refunds within 1 week of arrival date.
•No refunds/discounts for inclement weather, late arrivals or early departures.
•Please do not pitch unless you have a booking.
•Please ensure that pets are kept on leads at all times. Please do not leave pets unattended. The campsite reserves the right to refuse admission and eject from the farm/campsite any dog which it considered inappropriate and a danger to others.
•Galton is a working family farm with some areas of the farm and buildings being out of bounds for safety reasons, please take note of signs.
•A strict 5mph speed limit applies to the farm and campsite at all times.
•When driving slowly through the campsite, please be aware of pedestrians.
•Please sanitise hands upon entry to the campsite facilities.
•Face masks to be worn in the enclosed facility area.
•Keep to 2 meters distance apart in the toilet and shower area. Please avoid gathering in large groups in the toilet and shower area. Please stagger your visits.
•If the showers are busy, please come back a little later.
•All bins are located next to the toilet and showers. We offer general waste, glass recycling and mix recycling. Please be mindful of your waste and please use the recycling facility provided. Please do not place hot ashes in the bins. Please also consider fixing any broken poles, tents or air beds by taking them home before throwing them away.
•There are freezers available to freeze sanitised cold blocks only. Please do not place food or drink in them.
•Under current COVID guidelines, outdoor gathering of more than 30 people is not allowed.
•Please respect the campers on the campsite, keeping noise to a minimum. We operate a quiet time between 10pm and 6am. Radio, music and Screen devices must be kept at a low volume. Car doors and boots must be closed quietly.
•The management reserves the right to deny access or terminate the stay of those guests whose behaviour is deemed unsuitable. No refunds will be offered.
•Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.
•Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
•Galton Campsite cannot accept any liability for loss, damage or accident to person or property.
•Please inform management of any additional guests prior to arrival. The campsite reserves the right not to allow additional guests to a pitch.
•The Campsite is for holiday use only therefore working or trading from the campsite is not permitted.
•For the comfort of other visitors we ask guests to arrive before 9pm on the day of arrival.
•Please vacate on your day of departure by 12pm. Please ask permission before leaving any camping equipment or vehicles on your departure day any later than 12pm. The gate may be locked on certain closure dates if items are left without prior agreement.
•Permission for visiting guests must be reported prior to arrival to the campsite team. Guests must depart the campsite by 10pm.
•Kites must not be flown on the farm/campsite due to high voltage electricity cables.
•We endeavour to maintain all available services in a fully operational state but cannot be responsible for loss of water/pressure or electricity due to weather conditions etc.
• Please be aware of all safety signage around the toilet and shower area.
•We do not offer any chemical toilet disposal point.
•Campfires are permitted only by responsible adults. Campfires must not be left unattended and must be extinguished by a responsible person before retiring for the evening. Please ensure that there is sufficient space left between the campfire and your individual tent, vehicles and other campers. Do not use any flammable liquid to ignite a fire.
•Galton Campsite reserves the right to temporarily ban campfires due to very dry weather.
•Campers must allow 3 meters between pitches for fire regulations. Fire points are located around the campsite. Please make yourself aware of these points upon arrival.
•Galton Campsite reserves the right to ask any tent to be moved if they breach the 3 meter rule and the right to terminate a holiday/pitch booking if an offender refuses to move their tent.
•Naked flames used by or inside your tent is entirely at your own risk.
•A footpath leads through the middle of the farm, please stay on the public footpath and follow the countryside code, please find the links below.
•In the event of an emergency please dial 999 for police, ambulance, fire service. Please direct them to the campsite by using the Postcode DT2 8BZ, or what3words again.rise.shifts. This will navigate them to the entrance of the campsite which is the staggering opposite to Dobbies garden centre.
•The nearest A&E hospital (Accident and Emergency) is Dorset County Hospital, Dorchester Williams Avenue, Dorchester DT1 2JY.
•For minor injuries please dial 111 prior to visiting the Minor Injury hospital in Dorchester or Weymouth.
