“We had a wonderful stay. Perfectly located for exploring Dorset and a spacious and well-equipped haven to come back to. Our two and four year old boys loved feeding the chickens in the morning with the feed Catrin had left for us. The Barn is a brilliant place for young children being all on one level with a totally enclosed courtyard for them to play outside safely. It was the perfect place for our half term holiday”

“Super location close to Lulworth Cove and the south west coast path. Catrin’s place was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Super comfy beds and well equipped kitchen. Very nice outdoor area in enclosed garden which would be great in the nicer weather. Would like to return.”

“This beautiful barn was exactly what we were looking for, for our first family trip away and to celebrate our mum's 60th birthday. The barn has everything you need and more for a lovely stylish home from home stay. Our little girl loved waking up to feed the chickens most mornings. The barn is well equipped and has really thoughtful touches to suit everyone's needs. We loved our holiday and would highly recommend The Old Diary!.”

“The barn was very clean and beautifully styled. We could not have asked for a better location. It was super comfortable and very well stocked! Overall it was a wonderful place and we would definitely stay here again easily as well as recommend to other people! It’s a great location to drive from to get to attractions like Durdle door and Lulworth Cove. Catrin was a great host! She responded very quickly, and was very accommodating to our needs/requests. Check-in instructions were very detailed, easy to understand and helpful. Thanks for letting us stay!.”

“Our stay at the barn exceeded all expectations. Not only was it beautiful and well located, it was also extremely family friendly. Catrin was an outstanding host and was so helpful in giving us recommendations for restaurants and places to visit with our toddler. “Our family of 5 had a wonderful 5 night stay post lockdown & what a treat it was! Catrin’s place is spotless, larger then expected and styled incredibly well (real life exceeds the photos!). The beds are some of the most comfortable we’ve ever stayed in; you’ll have to drag yourself out of the master bedroom in the mornings! We were grateful for the extra touches like high chairs, bed guards & toys for the little ones. We were greeted with nibbles from Kate’s Farm Shop (a must visit for butter replenishment) and Catrin replied instantly to any questions we had. Within 15 minutes we were at some of the most beautiful beaches in England. Highly recommend The Weld Arms for Sunday Roast.”
